Kupwara, Jun 14 (KNO): Stating that the situation in Jammu and Kashmir is conducive, J&K Wafq Board chairperson Darakshan Andrabi Wednesday said that the BJP is ready for the elections and that there is an excitement among the workers. She, however, said that the Election Commission of India (ECI) has to take a final call on polls. As per the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), she was speaking to media men on the sidelines of a party function in north Kashmir’s Kupwara. Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) is organizing youth engagement programs across Jammu and Kashmir mainly in the valley as part of the 9 Saal Bemisaal campaign of BJP to mark the completion of nine years of the Prime Ministe Narendera Modi government. A motorbike rally was organised in north Kashmir today from Baramulla to Kupwara. This was part of the continuous youth engagement program. Andrabi said that their aim is not to organize events across the Kashmir valley only but also to appreciate the work done in the past nine years under the leadership of PM Narendra Modi led government. "Every central government scheme, benefit, and other things reached deserving individuals and families on the ground level," she said. "Schemes have reached the ground level and the same was verified from the administration and party affiliates as well." On holding elections in J&K and whether BJP was ready for the same, Andrabi said that “It depends on Election Commission of India. ECI has to take a final call on polls in J&K. BJP is ready for the elections. We are waiting for the announcements. Whenever elections take place BJP is ready to contest.” She said that "We have put a report card of nine years of progress achieved by the Modi-led central government before the people. We have successfully achieved the target of reaching out to the poorest individuals across Jammu and Kashmir" . Referring to the Ayushman Bharat scheme, the Waqf Chairperson said that every individual now is availing free treatment without any worry. "Evey patient is receiving the benefits." About Ujwala scheme, the MoS said that the scheme has brought unimagined ease to the women folk suffering who were suffering in many ways. "In poor families, women used to face difficulties and hardships to prepare food. But the Ujwala gas scheme eased their lives. Every poor is availing of the benefits now thus giving them a life without hardships," she in all praises to PM Modi. Andrabi said that more than two lakh houses shall be given to those homeless in Jammu and Kashmir. Jammu and Kashmir, she said, will be made the hub of the industrial revolution. "Economy of the region will be developed by encouraging the industrial revolution. It will end the joblessness in the region," she said while expressing the plans of the BJP. Replying to a question, Andrabi said that the opposition is there to make comments at their will. "They must look into their eyes to see the level of corruption that took place earlier. Our government is strictly against corruption and whenever any official is found indulging in such practices timely actions are initiated against them. We will never tolerate corruption at any cost," she said. About the situation in the region, she said that everything is normal. "Situation in Jammu and Kashmir is a gift of PM Modi. He is making this region a paradise again."—(KNO)
